Hi, I’m Iris, a residential architectural designer and the face behind IL Design, based in Huntsville, AL.

I focus on creating thoughtful, functional, and timeless spaces that are tailored to the people who live in them. Whether you're renovating, building new, or just trying to make your home work better for your everyday life, I’m here to bring clarity and creativity to the process.

Before I even start sketching, I listen. I want to understand how you use your space—what’s working, what isn’t, and how you want your home to feel. From there, I use my architectural training, eye for detail, and love of problem-solving to design solutions that make a real difference.

I believe the best results come from collaboration. My role is to bring fresh eyes and expert guidance, but your input is just as important. You know your routines, family, and needs better than anyone—I help translate that into a design that supports your lifestyle and reflects your vision.

While my focus is on architectural design, space planning, and construction-related details, I work closely with interior designers to ensure a seamless integration of both structure and style. For projects that don’t require a full interior package, I can assist with material selections, cabinetry layouts, and other key interior details.
